Civil Defense Phone Tree

For those new residents who may not be familiar with the Emergency Phone Tree - this committee was formed to assist residents in the event of any Hawaii County Civil Defense emergency that may affect the residents of Orchidland Estates Subdivision. In the event of an emergency the Office of Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency will contact one of the three Phone Tree Liaisons with pertinent information relating to that emergency with instructions such as an evacuation route, etc. That liaison will then contact a “plat liaison”( ten in all) to call all those phone numbers on their particular plat list to relay information given by Hawaii County Civil Defense.

We have not had any emergencies that may have affected Orchidland Estates residents since the inception of this committee in Summer 2000 and hope we continue to be as fortunate in the future.

If the threat of unusual flooding, damage to our roads due to earthquake, fire or hurricane etc. that may affect our residents, designated phone tree liaison volunteers need to be prepared to assist Hawaii County Civil Defense when called upon by having current phone information.

Our residents have responded to our Emergency Phone Tree Committee by returning information forms such as the one shown below.

To assist us by keeping our data base current, we ask that you fill in the form that may include any new phone numbers. If you have not made any changes or additions please do not fill out response form. All information you provide will be kept confidential.

Every attempt will be made to contact you in the event of an emergency that may affect you. However, if we are unable to reach you at any of the phone numbers that you provide to the phone tree committee, we cannot be held responsible.
